Our Place Society
OPS has evolved from an inner-city community centre founded on the principles of hope and belonging to an integrated organization serving Greater Victoria’s most vulnerable, including people struggling with homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use issues, the working poor and impoverished elderly. Broad-based and committed community support allows OPS to provide over 1,000 meals every day plus snacks, 450 units of housing plus transitional shelter spaces, hot showers, education, job skills training, health care, addiction recovery services, clothing, counseling, outreach services and a downtown storage facility. Most importantly, OPS provides a continuum of care and a sense of hope and community to those who need it most. OPS programs and services are delivered by experienced and caring staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
