Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People
Kaleidoscope was founded in 1974 as a professional touring theatre company; since that time the Theatre has created, commissioned and produced more than 100 original plays or original adaptations for young audiences, and played to over 2.5 million children worldwide. Kaleidoscope operates as a ‘full-service theatre’ (resident productions, tours, outreach activities, theatre school) under Artistic Director Roderick Glanville (since 2011).
Kaleidoscope Theatre is only one of five professional theatres for young audiences in BC, and the only Theatre for Young Audience Company located on Vancouver Island that provides in-house theatre to Vancouver Island audiences.
