Description We are looking for a volunteer who is interested in building a friendship with a woman with a developmental disability in her early 40s. Ideally, the volunteer will live in or near Sidney. Through Lifetime Networks, we are building a small circle of supportive friends who are committed to hanging out with her once month.

She is a delightful, easygoing woman who can be quiet at times and limited in conversation, but she would really like to enjoy your company. In friendship, this individual likes to be active playing bocce ball, mini golf, or swimming. She especially enjoys going for slow walks! Also, she occasionally would like to take a pottery class, a yoga class, or line dancing. She loves colouring and enjoys conversation over hot chocolate/tea. She prefers to meet in the mornings on a routine schedule. The right volunteer will be patient and understanding, and preferably an outgoing and positive person.
