Position Drop-in Environmental Restoration Volunteer - Pulling Together (District of Saanich)
Description Take care of nature by volunteering with the Pulling Together program in Saanich Parks! Volunteers in this program enhance and maintain natural areas by: removing invasive plants, planting native plants, spreading mulch, and more. Drop-in volunteers work under the guidance of a Lead Steward volunteer and can assist with work parties whenever their schedule permits. To see a list of parks currently in need of drop-in volunteers (and the meeting day/time), please click the "Apply Now" button at the bottom of this page.
Training Details The Lead Steward volunteer will orient you to the project specific to their park, review any safety considerations, and ask you to sign a waiver.
Working Conditions Outdoors in various weather conditions. Requires physical stamina and ability to work on uneven terrain. Supervised by a lead volunteer or staff.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Weekday - Daytime, Weekend - Daytime
Age 19+
