Impact Statement: The Victoria Lesbian Seniors Care Society supports the health and social needs of women-identified and lesbian-identified women of all ages on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.We commit ourselves to building a greater involvement in the wider community, including students, professionals within health care, as well as all members of the LGBTQ international community and allies.
Description: The position of volunteer coordinator is one that works in tandem with the Victoria Volunteer Society to find and train volunteers. She likes to work within the computer platform which is provided by the Volunteer Victoria Society. She enjoy working with and inspiring others to do their best in whatever it is they do for the event or the organization. She has a good working knowledge of all other positions in the organization, which assists them in finding volunteers to help out when needed. Finally, the volunteer coordinator takes leadership with training and scheduling workparties, and sees that the work gets done.
Training Details: Communication with the former volunteer coordinator takes place as needed. Training offered by Volunteer Victoria Bureau of Victoria is offered on an ongoing basis, both at their offices at 625 View Street and remotely.
