Position: Kids Cooking Program Assistant Leader
Location: 527 Fraser Street, Victoria, BC, Canada
Impact Statement: Working in partnership with our residents, organizations and other municipalities, to develop a healthy and active community by ensuring access to recreation, parks and community development programs and services.
Description: Esquimalt Recreation is looking for an assistant cooking leader for our Thursday evening kids cooking classes. The ideal volunteer enjoys working with kids 6-12 yrs, has an understanding of basic kitchen skills & safety, and works well in a lively environment. Thursday 5-7pm shifts are available.

Volunteer duties include:
•Assisting the instructor with all tasks related to providing cooking instruction to kids. This includes teaching & demonstrating kitchen skills, assisting students, engaging in all classroom activities & games and ensuring a fun and safe environment for participants
•Assisting with classroom set-up and clean-up
•Communicating with the instructor and delivering information to parents and students

Volunteers are expected to be punctual, appropriately dressed, and able to spend the shift electronics-free.
