Impact Statement The Victoria BC Ska & Reggae Society is a non-profit community organization of volunteers, staff & a board of directors whose main goal is to keep Victoria’s Annual Ska & Reggae Festival improving & evolving year after year. Our goal is to entertain, educate & unite audiences nationally & internationally through the artistic development of ska, reggae & other Jamaican rooted genres such as rocksteady, dub & dancehall.
All those involved in the Society have a burning passion for supporting the ska & reggae scene throughout Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland as well as Canada & the rest of the world.

Description We are accepting VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS NOW! Various roles include: Site Crew: Venue Preparation/Teardown, Waste Reduction & Greening, Front Door/Ticket Sales, Donation Collection, Beer Garden, Hospitality, Drivers, Merchandise Sales, Membership Sales, Information Tent, Program Distribution, Street Team, and more! If you are willing to take on a leadership role we have several of these roles in need of filling for this year's festival. We are especially looking for volunteers with Serving It Right to work in the beer garden/VIP Lounge, please include this in your application if you are interested.

Training Details Please email the Volunteer Coordinators if you have any questions leading up to the festival. We are SO excited to have you on board this year, and can't wait to work with you to make this year's festival our best ever!
It is preferred and STRONGLY ADVISED that all volunteers attend a Volunteer Orientation meeting in Wednesday, June 12 from 7pm-8/8:30pm at the Victoria Curling Club, Upper Lounge to learn about volunteering with us and to meet with other volunteers and supervisors before the festival.
Working Conditions Please note: Volunteers are required to work a minimum of two shifts. After working shifts (average 6 - 8 hours each), or at Volunteer Coordinator's discretion, volunteers may be eligible for entry into performances (if they are not already scheduled to work it) depending on scheduling, availability, and capacity.
