Target Theatre is a group of mature actors who create and perform entertaining and educational plays on seniors’ issues to increase awareness of topics relevant to an aging population and to contribute to fostering healthy communities.
Description
Positions available on our board include treasurer and secretary. The commitment required is one board meeting per month (2 hours) and some committee work, with time off over the summer months. Target is a small society with 12-15 actors, a part-time Artistic Director and a part-time Community Liaison. The board is usually from 5 to 8 directors, and is an operational board.

Training Details
Board experience a key asset. The current board plans to hold a training session from Volunteer Victoria for new board members, sometime after June.
Working Conditions
The Board has been meeting by Zoom since COVID, and will likely continue to do so. The meetings are once per month (2 hrs or less) and though the meeting time is decided by the board, they have traditionally been held on a weekday afternoon. Most work can be done from home.
