Position: Bus Volunteer - Bus Support Worker
Location: 2638 Ross Lane, Victoria, BC, Canada
Impact Statement: Ross Place provides independent living suites with the added convenience of services such as dining within our in-house dinning room, lifestyle programming and housekeeping. On-site personal care services such as medication administration, assistance with daily living activities or companion services can be arranged. Care services can be offered by the Ross Place staff or through government-funded home care agencies, depending on the jurisdiction and availability in each retirement residence. Description: We are looking for someone to join the recreation worker on fun bus trips around the city. This position involves helping residents on and off bus and helping with walkers and wheelchairs. The bus trips are usually Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoons (some evenings and weekends as well).
Training Details: There will be a volunteer training package as well on and off site training.
Working Conditions: On Bus going to different locations around the city.
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
Age: 18+
