Position: Cleanup Volunteer - Gorge Waterway Cleanup
Location: Selkirk Green Park
Impact Statement: The Burnside Gorge Community Association provides high quality programs and supports that strengthen the lives of children, youth and families throughout Greater Victoria. Programming includes: a range of childcare programs for ages 3.5 to 11; a range of community and school based youth & family services; housing and asset development supports for youth and families; community recreation and special events for all ages; and a variety of community development initiatives.
Description: Volunteers will be working together to collect garbage and debris from local shorelines and waters.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us, we do ask that any volunteers 12 years or younger are accompanied by an adult.
Training Details: An overview of the collection process and safety procedures will be shared with all volunteers upon check-in.
Working Conditions: Outdoors on varying terrains. Some areas may require the ability to lift heavy objects or manage a wheelbarrow. Please advise the event staff of any limitations to mobility so tasks can be assigned accordingly.
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: 10am-12pm
