Position: Are you looking to volunteer, meet awesome people and have a good time? - Victoria Ska & Reggae Fest XIX
Location: Ship Point Marina, Government Street, Victoria, BC, Canada
Impact Statement: Our goal is to entertain, educate and unite audiences nationally and internationally through the artistic development of ska, reggae and other Jamaican rooted genres such as rocksteady, dub and dancehall. The Society also presents other musical genres connected to these aforementioned including but not limited to Caribbean, various styles of Latin music, soul, jazz and world beat.

All those involved in the Society have a burning passion for supporting the ska and reggae scene throughout Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland as well as Canada and the rest of the world.
Description: Looking for a super fun time and a way to get involved? You've found it! We are accepting applications NOW for Victoria's 19th Annual Ska & Reggae Festival! Festival dates are June 20th-24th 2018 Simply fill out the volunteer application at http://victoriaskafest.ca/volunteers and submit it!

Please make sure to fill out all sections, and to tell us a bit more about yourself in the area provided on the application so we can get to know you! Please email the Volunteer Coordinators as soon as possible.

If you are interested in volunteering leading up to and during the festival with our STREET TEAM, please email the Street Team Coordinator at streetteam@victoriaskafest.ca to apply.
Training Details: Please email the Volunteer Coordinators if you have any questions leading up to the festival. We are SO excited to have you on board this year, and can't wait to work with you to make this year's festival our best ever!


It is preferred and STRONGLY ADVISED that all volunteers attend a volunteer orientation meeting June 13th to learn about volunteering with us and to meet with other volunteers and supervisors before the festival.

Working Conditions: Please note: Volunteers are required are to work a minimum of two shifts. After working shifts (average 6 - 8 hours each), or at Volunteer Coordinator's discretion, volunteers may be eligible for entry into performances (if they are not already scheduled to work it) depending on scheduling, availability, and capacity.

2 shifts = Free show

3 shifts = 2 Free shows

4 shifts = 3 Free shows

5 shifts = all shows
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening
