Position: Planning Team Member - Bowl for Kids' Sake

Impact Statement: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria (BBBSVictoria) is a child and youth mentoring charity. We facilitate life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential, both as individuals and citizens.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a nationwide fundraising event where co-workers, friends, and family gather together for a game of bowling and raise funds to support Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs.

Planning team members will assist with organizing and preparing for Victoria's 6th Annual Bowl for Kids' Sake event as well as encourage and support participation throughout the community.
Description: Primary Responsibilities

-engage participants and support Bowl for Kids’ Sake planning efforts
-ensure all BBBS contacts are kept confidential
-attend and participate in monthly committee meetings
-attend and support during event days: April 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2018


-Strong interpersonal communication
-Ability to manage information
-Passion for building relationships and fundraising
Training Details: Some experience with event planning would be nice, but if you are organized, like to bring people together, have strong networks in the community and like working with others to support a great cause, then consider volunteering with us.
Working Conditions: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria supports diversity and welcomes applicants of every race, religion, culture, gender and sexual orientation. Our space is wheel-chair accessible and on a bus-route. We value our volunteers and we want you to have a great experience creating a wonderful fundraising event that will be fun for all ages.
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail: Pre-scheduled monthly meetings for February/March/April 2018 (plus prep work on your own time) as well as event support on April 20 (Friday evening), April 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday all day).
