Position: Corporate Development Research Assistant
Description: The primary function of the volunteer Corporate Development Research Assistant is to explore possible corporate funding prospects that can be stewarded towards future involvement with JDRF signature fundraising events.
Reports To:
JDRF Victoria Chapter Manager, Fundraising and Development
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Research and create a database with possible corporate business connections
• Brainstorm supplier and sponsorship opportunities
• Assist the JDRF Victoria Chapter Manager, Fundraising and Development, and the Senior Coordinator, Fundraising and Community Engagement with current projects
• Strong research skills
• Computer savvy
• Education Level: currently enrolled or graduated from University
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of local businesses and corporate social responsibility will be considered an asset
• Access to own computer with reliable internet connection
Training Details: Training Provided:
• Project overview will be provided
Working Conditions: Location: This is a work-from-home opportunity
Approximately 2-3 hours per week
Minimum Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Daytime
