Our Program Objectives ~ Connect people, especially youth, to nature ~ Connect people to one another and create community ~ Educate and raise awareness about environmental issues parks face ~ Provide opportunities to: gain outdoor career experience, learn how to work as a team and be a leader ~ Restore habitat and increase biodiversity ~ Infuse volunteers into existing stewardship and habitat restoration programs and groups Activities ~ Identifying and removing invasive plants ~ Planting native plant species ~ Picking up litter ~ Preparing vegetable beds ~ Harvest vegetables
