ElderDog Canada is a national, registered charitable organization, fully funded through donations and completely operated by volunteers. We recognize the importance of the human-animal bond and we focus on supporting seniors and their canine companions. We currently serve the community that spans from Sooke to Sidney, but are splitting into three distinct Pawds. Victoria, Sooke-Westshore and Sidney/Saanich and are looking for leaders in those areas. Our goals are to: • Assist and support older adults in the care and well-being of their canine companions (this includes activities such as dog walking, transport to vet, groomer appointments, etc.); • Promote the welfare of older dogs whose lives have been disrupted due to illness, relocation or death of a human companion (we provide temporary foster care and/or rehoming for dogs whose seniors are unable to care for them).
