Description | The Horticulture Centre of the Pacific is a beautiful, public demonstration garden and centre for horticulture education. The main responsibility of a volunteer librarian is to know the collection in order to assist patrons find the information that they're looking for. This involves learning about the books and their contents, the online catalogue and the Library of Congress Classification System. |
Training Details | All volunteers will receive training and have the opportunity to shadow existing volunteers. |
Working Conditions | Working in a library environment. Standing and seated. |
Minimum Duration | 4 - 6 months |
Timing | Weekend - Daytime |
Time Detail | 3 hour regular shift on a Saturday morning. |
