If you are a certified teacher (retired or on sub list) and are interested in becoming an instructor with TLC: -Classes will be held at Saanich Centennial Library at Pearkes Arena -Class is on Thursdays (to be decided for Fall of 2024 dependent on teacher availability). Free lunch supplied at 12pm, then 2 hours of instruction -English literacy classes taught in small groups of 4 or less, currently a focus on storytelling for legacy projects are at the forefront of what we are working on right now. We offer opportunities to Elders who may not have passed Elementary school levels so we go back to basics, as needed. -We offer access to San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Program online (worth $300) -Although you will be teaching, you will also be learning from these elders and adults! It really is heartwarming work. |

| Working Conditions | Classes will be held at Saanich Centennial Library at Pearkes Arena. The expectation for the health and safety of this vulnerable community is to be present for all classes to create a sense of unity and trust. Classes are held in 3 sessions: Fall, Winter, Spring. If a teacher is taking holidays, we can work around this too. |
