Position: Food Training and Preparation - Mental Health Activity and Visiting Program
Location: 1035B N Park St, Victoria, BC, Canada
Impact Statement: Souper Meals is a vocational training for clients with mental illness. Program participants produce wholesome frozen meals and fresh deli-style ready-to-eat items for clients connected to the mental health system. Volunteers assist participants to achieve their fullest potential within the program.
Description: To coach and assist Souper Meals program participants. Participants may require support in a variety of tasks such following through with assigned meal preparation tasks, engaging in kitchen clean up routines or following recipes. Volunteers may engage in food preparation.
Training Details: Orientation and training to program provided, must have valid Foodsafe Level 1 Certificate
Working Conditions: Standing for one hour+ periods of time and able to lift 10 to 20 pounds.
Minimum Duration: 7 - 12 months
Timing: Weekday - Daytime
Age: 19+
