Impact Statement Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria and Area is a not-for-profit, charitable organization offering preventative support to children and youth through mentoring. For over 20 years we have operated a Social Enterprise to raise funds for our programs. This Social Enterprise provides a valued service in recycling and textile diversion through the collection and repurposing of donated goods.
Description If you are interested in recycling donated goods to keep them out of the landfill then join our Online Marketplace team at our 230 Bay Street location! Members of this team will gain experience in selecting items of value from our intake of donations, photograph these items, write thorough descriptions, determine pricing, and post these items on primarily Facebook Marketplace. We offer flexible scheduling, with options of volunteering five days a week from 10am – 5pm (any shift, any time), and ask for a minimum commitment of 4 – 6 months. Training will be provided. With your help, Big Brothers Big Sisters is able to raise funds for our mentoring programs!

Training Details On-site training.
Working Conditions Strict Health & Safety measures in place, including:

- PPE (provided if necessary)

- Social distancing

- Regular logged cleaning and sanitation

- Other rules and measures as prescribed by WorkSafe BC

- Limited accessibility conditions in the office space (stairs)
