Operates the Seniors’ Resource Centre. The SRC helps local seniors remain safely in this community for as long as they choose by connecting them with information and resources, and hosting programs and social events. Our Better at Home program assists older adults to continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities, by providing simple, non-medical home support services. This is a United Way program funded by the Government of British Columbia. Volunteers, staff, and our board of directors provide: Friendly one-on-one visits in person, by phone, email or video Social & wellness events such as Friday Socials, annual flu clinic Drives to medical appointments such as doctor, eye, dental & pharmacy Drives to shop for groceries |
| Description |
Volunteer to drive seniors to medical appointments and to get groceries. Drivers are reimbursed for their gas. Drivers are not asked to transport scooters, wheelchairs or heavy walkers |

| Working Conditions | The time commitment is flexible and no minimum amount of hours are required. Volunteers must have a drivers licence, vehicle, vehicle insurance and agree to a Criminal Record Check. |
