| Description |
VLC is seeking individuals to read 1:1 in this in-school program providing extra reading support for elementary students. Volunteers can commit to reading 1-3 three times per week for 8 weeks per term. Sessions are 1.5 to 2 hours long (20-30 minutes per student). Volunteers are needed in the WESTSHORE, Victoria and Sooke for the 2024-2025 school year. Training & ongoing support provided. | Working Conditions | In-school, variable conditions. Volunteers must be able to walk distances, navigate stairs and work in potentially noisy environments. |
