| Impact Statement |
YES has grown from an agency which was primarily focused on street entrenched youth to an agency which provides prevention, intervention, treatment and education for youth and their families/caregivers. Last year, YES supported over 1,100 youth and their families in Victoria and surrounding communities. Some services (among many others) offered by YES include: youth and family counselling, community outreach, meeting basic needs (shelter, food, clothing, hygiene), emergency crisis response, independent living support/transitional planning, and assistance with issues related to substance use, mental health, employment, housing and education. YES also operates a drop-in center called the Alliance Club where youth can come by during open hours on weekdays for food, a shower, laundry, assistance and shelter and clothing. This is a safe and welcoming environment that is youth friendly and trauma informed. |

If you have clean clothing suitable for teens in good condition and are willing to donate to YES that would be great. We are seeking: Hoodies Men and Women's clothing Shoes Socks and Underwear (new only) Blankets and sleeping bags Tents Hygiene products (new only) Bags and Backpacks If you would like to donate, please email Patricia for drop-off details.
