Make a BIG difference by giving a LITTLE time! Have fun, play games and/or sports, and be a friend to a young child. Help them learn how to try new things, do their best, and have respect for themselves and others.
Description
Each Teen Mentor (Grade 10 to 12) is paired with a young child (Kindergarten to Grade 5). You'll visit once a week for one hour, same day/time each week during school hours, at their elementary school.
Training Details
Safety training and on-going support is provided. No experience is necessary.
Working Conditions
Choose the partner elementary school that's closest to you: Braefoot, Campus View, Craigflower, Brentwood Bay, Kelset, George Jay, Vic West, Marigold, Salt Spring, Saseenos, or Quadra.

Time Detail
Volunteering takes place during elementary school hours. You'll need 1 hour per week to meet with your Little during the school year - ideally late September to early June, but we accept applications throughout the school year. Please allow enough time to travel between the schools.
