-Support and take direction from the Lead Volunteer Gardener in maintaining the People's Apothecary garden -No garden experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and show up at designated work party times -Common garden activities: identifying plants/weeds, planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, harvesting medicinal plants -Hours of commitment is variable from 2-5 hours a week, flexible on the teams schedule -Opportunity to work on a team, meet other like-minded gardenrs, and enhance a public community space for others to enjoy Contact Jarret for more details gardens@quadravillagecc.com |
| Training Details | A qualified volunteer lead gardener will teach and assign your garden tasks based on your skill level. The volunteer lead gardener will be overseen by the QVCC Gardens Coordinator to troubleshoot any garden problems or resolve any conflicts amongst the team. Garden tasks can be adapted based on person's capabilities. Hands on practical learning to improve skills in garden planning, plant identification, garden maintenance techniques, irrigation, harvesting, pruning, mulching, and more. |
