| Description |
Esquimalt Recreation is looking for an assistant for our Thursday after school StitchLab at Esquimalt Recreation Centre. The ideal volunteer has experience with sewing, enjoys working with kids & youth 7yrs+, enjoys creative projects related to sewing and works well in a lively environment. Volunteer duties include assisting instructor with all tasks related to classes, including greeting, coaching & mentoring participants, assisting with mini demos & sewing projects (hand sewing & machine sewing). You will be focused on creating a fun and inclusive environment that encourages creative expression. You will assist with class set-up and clean-up and will communicate with the instructor, parents and students. |
