Impact Statement
Assist Victoria's primary advocacy group for conserving & restoring Garry oak trees and associated ecosystems, Garry Oak Meadow Preservation Society (GOMPS), with over 25 years of service to the community of Greater Victoria and the Islands. Currently operating a Garry oak tree nursery as well.
Description
Secretary for GOMPS Board of Directors, to prepare Agenda & Minutes for monthly Board Meetings, also some correspondence usually by email. Perfect position to give Society Board experience. Must own & be competent with computers, MS Word & email systems. Must be available on a weekday evening once a month.
Training Details
Training provided by current Secretary if wanted. Board supports innovation to enable work to be accomplished.
Working Conditions
Work from home with monthly meetings being usually virtual. For the occasional in-person meeting, carpooling is an option.
