Position: Treasurer
Impact Statement: Our mission is to provide all children with the opportunity to develop life skills by exploring their potential through arts experiences.


Description: Provide and/or prepare financial statements for the president and Board Members as requested and/or required.

Ensure adequate policies and procedures are in place for the protection and safeguarding of the assets of the organization against fraud and theft, review all internal processes and reporting methods at least annually.

Act as primary signing officer for the organization. The treasurer is one of the authorized signing authorities for all current accounts.

Review procedures and financial reporting, advise the board on financial strategy, and advise on fundraising.

Communicate the financial and governance obligations to the Board. - Ensure the organization complies with tax regulations.

Assist in the development of budgets and grant funding applications collaboratively with the Finance Committee.

Attend board meetings and provide current bank statements to be distributed prior to meetings.
Training Details: The Treasurer is a critical part of the Financial Committee and will be trained and supported by the committee.
Working Conditions: From home; Own schedule; Attend one evening board meeting/month
Minimum Duration: More than 1 year
Timing: Anytime
Time Detail: Monthly meetings are held on the last Monday evening of each month.
