Position: Social Media Coordinator or Assistant - Victoria Health Co-operative and supporting charity, Creating Community Wellness Society
Impact Statement: Support the sustainable growth of a volunteer-run community co-operative and help to promote the activities of it's Board and Membership through social media.

Victoria Health Co-operative aims to promote wellness, for our members and community, acknowledging the importance of the social determinants and the desirability of maintaining wellness so that we do not rely on medical and surgical services unnecessarily. In addition to maintaining successful wellness programs, the VHC teams introduces new health initiatives for all individuals in our communities, at any stage of life.
Description: - Assists Communications Lead with social media projects, events, and community management on select platforms: Eventbrite, Facebook, Twitter, Buffer.

- Manage social media activity and expand online networks

- Work with Communications Lead to develop an engagement strategy for online and offline audiences

- Assist with the development of fundraising campaign communications

- Coordinate web content and copy and ensure that all information is accurate and up to date

- Coordinate content creation for newsletters (print and online) and website

Training Details: Training will be provided by Board Member and Communications Lead, Selina P. An orientation to the work and aims of the co-op will be provided, along with any Volunteer Victoria training services, and continual project updates and discussion at monthly Board meetings. Questions and guidance from Board members are encouraged at any stage!
Working Conditions: We all work from home and make good use of coffee shops and community facilities to meet in person. Email is our main form of communication.
Minimum Duration: 4 - 6 months
Timing: Anytime
Time Detail: Social media planning and automation may be up to 8 hours per month, or less depending on the time of year. Tasks will be shared by both volunteer and Communication Lead, to manage time constraints and provide flexibility.
