By phone check ins and reminder calls for cleans, events, meal deliveries. Your time and kindness will be appreciated. |
| Description |
Providing a visit to a older adult goes a long way in helping them feel connected to their community, and that someone cares! Positions are located in Langford and Colwood. Gain meaningful knowledge and connections. Previous experience and interest in helping seniors would be an asset. Better at Home Westshore provides non-medical supports. Position doesn't include driving participant. Safety check in and brief details of visit, are reported to Program Coordinator once assignment complete. |

| Training Details | Program coordinator will provide orientation such as Communicating with Seniors, and safe handling of a walker. |
| Working Conditions |
Friendly visits take place in various Langford and Colwood locations in person or by phone. 15 minutes to 1 hour 1-4x/month, same/consistent day/time. A set plan will be put in place after introduction visit with/by Coordinator. |
