Mission - The Nature Trails Society is a registered Charity that connects communities by formalizing the managed access of a world class outdoor recreation network of shared use trails for all ages, abilities, and experiences. At NTS one of our primary goals is to repair and provide trails to provide safe environmentally sustainable access to nature for the community. Another primary goal is to protect the environment we live in. So we work hard to lead by example and educate on environmentally sustainable trail building practices. By involving the community in the process we help create stewardship and pride in our natural areas. Another important benefit of our work is the creation of green transportation infrastructure, providing the community options to travel with out the environmental impact of cement and petroleum. |
| Description |
The Events Coordinator is the central point of contact for approximately 5 small events a year. Coordinating event dates, times with volunteers and works with the Marketing and Promotions director to advertise and promote the events. This involves approximately 5 to 10 hours a month and is well suited to someone who likes networking with people. There will be support and attendance from the board, Executive Director and volunteers on all events. |
| Training Details | The Executive Director and other board members will assist and mentor as much as needed to bring the new coordinator up to speed. |
| Working Conditions | Work from home and attend 5 events a year. Some events are held inside and some are out at parks with a promotional tent for cover. |
