Impact Statement Leadership Victoria supports, celebrates and develops community leaders in the Greater Victoria area. Each May, we celebrate the inspiring stories and successes of community leadership in Greater Victoria.

For the past 16 years, our region’s business, government and community sectors have been recognizing the contributions of local leaders who demonstrate commitment, inspiration, encouragement and accomplishment.

This year we received over 40 nominations and selection of winners is in process. The gala event celebrating those leaders will be held at The Oak Bay Beach Hotel in the evening of Friday May 22/2020.

Description Under the direction of the Leadership Victoria lead individual responsible for the Victoria Community Leadership Awards, you will assist with any or all pieces of the planning process which is well underway. There are however several events that take place before May. Winners are announced, interviewed, photographed, videoed and invited to a pre-event reception. The logistics are many and need lots of coordination and interactions. Your role would be do carry out small projects or duties assigned by the Lead. Swag bags, setting up banners, flowers, food vendors, entertainers' needs, scheduling, greeting, are just some of those possible jobs. If you can make yourself available for a couple of hours per week, perhaps more leading up to the pre and main event and like to meet people and celebrate others, please give us a shout by submitting a resume or letter via this website.
Training Details We will give you a short orientation to Leadership Victoria and what our Victoria Community Leadership Award events have looked like in past years. Each year is a little different!
Working Conditions Likely at different venues such as event locations, as needed.
Possibly in our downtown office occasionally @ #306-620 View Street.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Anytime
Time Detail We are pretty flexible on weekday assignments. The winners' pre-reception and the main gala event are evening commitments.
