The mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is:

To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.
Description The 1:1 Peer Support Program is a telephone and internet-based program for individuals living with MS, and for caregivers and loved ones of people with MS. Yourmatchmay be newly diagnosed, may have a specific question, ormay bedealing with challenges related to MS. Sometimes the best person to talk to is someone who has had similar experiences.

The 1:1 Peer Support Program invites applications from interested volunteers who are living with MS, or are caregivers and loved ones of people with MS. We are looking for individuals who are at a place in their own experience where they feel they can effectively support others.

Volunteers are at the heart of the MS Society. Join an exciting, dynamic and diverse organization that is committed to improving the lives of Canadians with multiple sclerosis and accelerating the high-quality researchfor a future free of MS.
Training Details Peer Support Program specific volunteer training before being matched with a volunteer. Ongoing support from MS Society Program staff.
Working Conditions Online
Minimum Duration 7 - 12 months
Timing Anytime
Time Detail Minimum 1 year, 2 matches commitment.
3-4 hours per month per peer.
