Position Outreach Volunteer
Impact Statement The Cridge Transition House for Women (CTHW) provides safe, emergency accommodation, support and information for women and children, escaping abusive situations. Volunteers, under the direction of CTHW staff, enhance the provision of these services to make them as welcoming, safe, and supportive as possible. Volunteers are an integral part of CTHW. It is also the intent of CTHW to provide a meaningful and rewarding volunteer experience.
Description This position includes helping to pick up outreach client's children from school. We are hoping to find someone that can help with after school pick up maybe once or twice a week. This position includes one-on-one interaction with kids and driving the transition house car. A valid driver's license and driver's abstract is required. Experience with kids is an asset. Training Details 2-4 hours orientation relevant to the issues of violence against women and training for specific volunteer positions and programs.
