Mission - The Nature Trails Society connects communities by formalizing the managed access of a world class outdoor recreation network of shared use trails for all ages, abilities, and experiences.
Description
Reporting to the NTS Events Chair, the Events Committee member will be responsible for helping to deliver all aspects of event planning and management through to implementation. He/she will work to meet outreach targets and support advocacy campaigns with on the ground promotion. You will directly contribute to increasing NTS’ capacity to authorize, build, connect, upgrade and sign natural trials on the South Island by increasing public awareness of the organization and its campaigns, and by building the organization’s presence in local communities
Training Details
The incumbent will be trained on society business by the ED and President and Events Chair.
Working Conditions
From home and occasionally on location in Covid safe settings.
Minimum Duration
7 - 12 months
Timing
Weekday - Evening, Anytime
Time Detail
Ability to give a minimum of 12 hours monthly which includes organizing and leading monthly committee meetings (1.5 hours) and attending board meetings (1.5 hours)
