Description
Shekinah Homes Society is looking for a Treasurer to join their Board. The Society has secure ongoing funding through the Province of BC, is a registered charity in good standing and partakes in a financial audit each year. Shekinah has extensive audit, financial and budgeting policies and procedures and uses Sage 50 for its accounting. The Treasurer would be involved in the budget development each year and the ongoing budget monitoring. We are looking for someone who has experience in accounting. A CPA designation and knowledge of the non-profit sector would be an asset.
Training Details
The successful candidate will be oriented to the role by the outgoing Treasurer.
Working Conditions
The Treasurer will have remote access to financial files and other documents available to board members.

Time Detail
Board meetings are held the 3rd Monday of the month from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Meetings are currently held remotely. The position will be open until successfully filled.
