Mary Manning Centre responds to children, youth and families affected by sexual abuse and other trauma, by providing victim services, counselling, prevention and education within the Greater Victoria community, and consultation throughout the Province of British Columbia.
Description
The Victoria Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Centre is a local non-profit agency providing victim services and counselling to children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect. Our agency invites applications for the general role of board member on our board of directors. Prior board experience preferred, but not essential. We seek persons interested in developing leadership skills and applying experience to a governance framework that supports our Strategic Plan. We encourage applicants who hold an interest in social services, and who feel passionate about contributing to an organization that is an integral part of the Victoria child and youth service infrastructure.
We offer the successful applicant a forum for knowledge and skill development in a key leadership role. Please see our website www.vcapcc.com to learn more about our agency.
