Description | The Maritime Museum of BC is seeking Visitor Centre Volunteers to run our Front Desk. Front Desk Volunteers are responsible for greeting museum attendees in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner, processing admission payments and gift shop purchases, and providing assistance to visitors as needed. They play a key role in helping museum visitors have a positive experience. Retail experience and/or an interest in maritime history is an asset. |
Training Details | Training will be provided through both online training modules and on site training by the Volunteer and Visitor Centre Coordinator. Staff members always on-site to assist with questions and provide support. |
Working Conditions |
A desk chair is provided. Hand sanitizer is provided. Feel free to bring along a book to read, homework, or a similar quiet activity during slow periods. You will be provided with one 15 minute break each shift. Volunteers snacks are available in the breakroom.
