Description Volunteer positions include General Volunteers (no experience needed), Handy-People, Hospitality Volunteers (check-in, site orientation, and food service) and the full gamut of Trades. The project is for the Indigenous Perspectives Society in Langford and is a great opportunity to make a concrete difference while acknowledging the injustices suffered by First Nations.
Training Details No prior training required. For non-trades training is provided where appropriate.
Working Conditions All volunteers must be fully vaccinated and follow strict COVID protocols. There is a sign up and check in process, complete with safety and site orientations. Colour-coded HeroWork t-shirts and appropriate personal protective equipment provided to all volunteers.
Minimum Duration 3 months or less
Timing Weekday - Daytime, Weekend - Daytime
Time Detail You can volunteer 9am to 4pm from Tuesday through Sunday, starting Sept 15 till Nov 19th. The weekdays have smaller numbers of volunteers (5 to 20) and the weekends have larger numbers (40-75).
