Impact Statement Shekinah Homes Society's mission is helping people with developmental disabilities flourish by creating loving homes and opportunities to grow within a secure and caring community.
Description Shekinah Homes Society is seeking an experienced HR specialist to join their Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of individuals with strong professional backgrounds in various areas including governance, finance, public health, business and non profit management. The successful applicant will have a strong working knowledge of human resource management which they will apply from a governance prospective. Shekinah has over 50 employees including a human resource coordinator. Shekinah is in a strong financial position, owning and operating three attractive purpose built staffed homes plus operating a lovely fourth staffed home. Homes are located in Victoria.
Training Details New board members are provided ongoing 1:1 orientation and support.
Working Conditions Board members participate in board and committee meetings remotely. Use of a computer and ability to work and attend meetings online is essential.
Minimum Duration More than 1 year
Timing Weekday - Evening
Time Detail Board members are expected to attend the majority of board meetings, and available to take on some governance responsibility based on their professional background.
