Position Reception Volunteer

Impact Statement The Victoria Brain Injury Society's mission is to support, educate and advocate for adults with acquired brain injuries and their families; and to increase community awareness about acquired brain injury.
Description Reception volunteers at VBIS create a positive and welcoming environment for our clients while maintaining front desk operations.

Specific duties of reception volunteers include:
- Greeting and checking-in clients
- Assisting clients with general needs and inquiries
- Answering phone calls and providing appropriate information
- Continuous communication with VBIS clients and staff members
- Assisting the peer support team as required
- Use of the VBIS database
- Miscellaneous admin tasks

Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are valuable attributes for volunteers in this position.

*Please note VBIS requires a minimum 6 month commitment from volunteers.
Training Details Training and orientation provided by the VBIS Volunteer Coordinator.
Minimum Duration 7 - 12 months
Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail VBIS is open Monday-Thursday from 10:00am-3:00pm. Volunteer shifts require a minimum commitment of 2 hours/week.
