Position Social Media Volunteer - Communications
Impact Statement ElderDog Canada Inc. is a national, registered charitable organization dedicated to ageing people, ageing dogs, and the important connection they enjoy. We recognize the importance of the human-animal bond and we focus on supporting seniors and their canine companions. The South VI Pawd assists seniors and dogs across Southern Vancouver Island (Chemainus to Sooke to Sidney)

Our goals are to:
• Assist and support older adults in the care and well-being of their canine companions (this includes activities such as dog walking, transport to vet, groomer appointments, etc.);
• Promote the welfare of older dogs whose lives have been disrupted due to illness, relocation or death of a human companion (we provide emergency foster care and/or rehoming for dogs whose seniors are unable to care for them)
Description Love Social Media? Love dogs? Want to help local seniors care for their dogs? Join our communications team!!

We are looking for a few enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative people to provide and post content for our social media platforms. This will include updating our Facebook and Instagram pages with ElderDog news; as well as posting fun, interesting content to engage and inform our volunteers.

Our goals for social media exposure are to:
• Promote awareness of ElderDog’s services throughout South Vancouver Island
• Grow our team of dog walking volunteers
• Engage and inform current ElderDog volunteers
