The purposes of this society then, are as follows: To encourage and develop an awareness of the importance of local agriculture, art and craft. To encourage education about the environment, healthy living and organic farming. To provide a direct sales outlet in the neighbourhood for locally produced goods including: handcrafted items, art, produce and home prepared foods. To provide an atmosphere that encourages community interaction and participation of the neighbourhood. |

The James Bay Market operates, rain or shine, every Saturday form 9am to 3pm from May 6 to October 7 at the corner of Menzies and Superior in James Bay As our volunteer Coffee & Info Kiosk person, your duties would include making & serving coffee, making change, keeping the area clean and set up and take down of the coffee equipment and the brochures on the info table. The kiosk consists of two assembled tables. A very pleasant way to meet persons attending the market and talking to them about our community. Come join the fun and meet our interesting farmers, food producers, crafters & customers all the while helping us in making the Market a grand success. Thank you! |
