Position Bread Delivery Volunteer - Better at Home

Description URGENTLY NEEDED! Volunteer or pair of volunteers to pick up surplus bread from Oak Bay Cobs Bread location and drop off at Beacon Community Services Thrift Store on Pandora Avenue. Vehicle with enough cargo space to hold several large bags of bread is required (bags are provided by Beacon). Volunteers bag the bread and bring it to the Thrift Store on Pandora, accessing the store with a key. There, volunteers will find bins in which to place the bread for sorting by thrift store volunteers on Sunday morning.
Training Details Training will be provided by the outgoing volunteer or one of our staff.
Working Conditions Evening work in inner city locations. Recommend applying to volunteer together with a friend or partner for safety.
Minimum Duration 4 - 6 months
Timing Weekend - Evening
Time Detail Pickups are Saturdays up to 7pm from the Oak Bay Cobs Bread location and drop offs are to the Pandora Avenue Beacon Community Services Thrift Shop the same evening.
