Position Environmental Volunteer - Remove Invasive Species at Ocean View Park in Colwood!

Impact Statement To inspire stewardship of nature by connecting diverse individuals through hands-on educational environmental activities
Description We will be removing invasive English ivy and Himalayan Blackberry from this beautiful park!

Look for GVGT tent and signs!

• Meet at 9:45am for sign-in, introductions (please be on time)
• If you can't find us, please call 778-677-9078
• Remove invasive plants
• Take break for refreshments half way through
• Volunteer until 1 pm then sign-out at end, take home an eco-gift!
Training Details We will provide all training and tools. No previous experience necessary!
Working Conditions We will be working outdoors, rain or shine! Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend long pants/sleeves to protect from thorny plants & insects. Remember to check the weather - bring a hat/sunscreen/rain jacket as needed.
