Description |
The Vice President of the Board attends meetings and chairs meetings if the President is unavailable. Board meetings are held once every 4-6 weeks, currently held Sunday mornings 10am - 12pm. The Vice President upholds the constitution & bylaws of the Society, assists with setting of performance dates for upcoming seasons, acts as conduit between Music Director and members of the Orchestra, is sufficiently aware of the roles of all members of the Board to be able to offer assistance in the time of personal emergency for other board members, and communicates with orchestra members and board members to see what can be done to improve the orchestra and working conditions of volunteers. The Vice President may be asked to assist with the management of the Orchestra's Google Suite, if they have the ability to do so. Term of service is 3 years. |
Training Details | Support and training provided by a very functional existing Board. |
Working Conditions | Mostly work from home, but must be able to attend monthly in-person meetings. Must have access to a computer and be able to use or be willing to learn the basics of Google Suite for digital resource management and communication. This includes using Google Meet for virtual meetings should they become a necessity again in the future. |
