We are looking for one or two organized, compassionate people (and dog lovers) to share the rewarding Dog Care Support Coordinator role and join our team. The Dog Care Support program enables older adults with challenges affecting the care of their beloved dogs, to continue to benefit from their relationship with their canine companions. |
| Description |
- responding to inquiries for assistance within a designated district; - organizing initial visits with seniors to determine services required and fill out appropriate paperwork; - matching volunteers with senior support services required; - maintaining and adjusting volunteer walking schedule as needed; - keeping records of program activities; - completing paperwork for the National Office; - participating in short weekly calls with other team Dog Care Support Coordinators; - communicating with Pawd Leader, members, and National Office on an ongoing basis. The skill set: - A ‘people person’ who cares about seniors and understands their complex needs - Strong technical skills to manage gmail, document sharing and Time To Pet software - Self motivated and highly organized, with great attention to detail - Collaborative and thrives in a team environment - Strong time management skills and some flexibility in availability |
| Training Details |
Part of the collaborative Dog Care Support team. Training and ongoing mentorship from National and our other DCS coordinators. Access to existing tools and templates. - job shadowing with other DCS coordinators as required |
