PSS acknowledges that indigenous children, youth, and their families have much to contribute to the world as empowered individuals with a profound understanding of their Indigenous identity, cultural heritage, sustainable living, and connection to their lands and territories.

We help the people we serve to connect with each other, their communities, themselves, their history, and their culture.
Description Volunteers will provide support to parents on the Spectrum Circle, facilitate group discussion, and be available to circle members in a crisis between meetings by phone. Contact new referrals and do the intake, introduce New Circle member and help them integrate. Submit attendance.
Brief, de-brief and connect with your co-facilitator on a weekly basis.
Attend monthly Steering Committee and Facilitator support meetings, participate in in going PSS trainings and workshops.
Applicants MUST have professional/personal experience with children who are on the spectrum
Training Details Training online: Self-paced 15 hrs. (1 months to finish) and 3 Live Zoom sessions on October 19, 21 & 26, 2023. FREE for those who are able to commit one year of volunteering in the position (3 to 5 hrs. a week)
Working Conditions With the pandemic COVID 19 our circles are running online, some in the morning, evening or weekend.
