To assist and support older adults in the care and well-being of their canine companions.ElderDog Victoria is 100% volunteer-run. To carry out our work, ElderDog operates in chapters or PAWDs in communities across the country. We are looking for a leader to guide the Victoria PAWD. | Description |
The role includes: - guiding the group of committed volunteers who act as the executive committee for the Victoria area; - calling and chairing PAWD meetings; - collaborating on strategic priorities; - helping recruit new volunteers to fill leadership roles within the PAWD; - participating in monthly conference calls with other PAWD Leaders; - representing ElderDog at outreach events; - triage email inquiries in a timely manner; - understanding the different functions within the PAWD; - serving as back-up for other roles as needed; - serving as an ambassador for ElderDog Canada and the PAWD. |
