About the Opportunity: This position assists the Education Team in caring for the display and exotic reptiles and invertebrates who live in the Nature House. Enrichment is an important part of the position, this includes extended handing of the exotic snakes, so they are given time outside their cage. Key Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Education Team assist with: •Feeding animals, cleaning habitats and monitoring animals using safe techniques •Holding animals to provide enrichment •Entering observations and feeding details in Excel spreadsheet or written notes •Ensuring equipment and food supplies are clean and stored correctly Our Expectations of Volunteers: •Support the Mission and Values of the Sanctuary and its efforts in education, restoration and responsible stewardship •Co-operation with administrative tasks e.g. filling in time sheets •Commitment to attend training and orientation |

Training: •Program training provided by Education Team staff •Orientation on the history and current community and volunteer programs at the Sanctuary |
