| Description |
Come helps us with the Friday Carpet bowling and afternoon social at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre! No carpet bowling experience is required. This low cost program is looking for a volunteer who is reliable, welcoming and helpful, to help older adults to enjoy connecting within our public space. The host works in collaboration with the Programmer I Older Adults Services and any other volunteers at that site to facilitate Older Adults using the space for carpet bowling, connection and socializing including coffee/tea and light snacks. All coffee, tea, and snacks are provided by the Recreation Centre. Carpet bowling is set up by the facility staff. Apply below or contact volunteer@saanich.ca to get started! |

-A Police Information Check (free of charge!) -Site and Program Orientation -Child and Vulnerable Persons Protection Training (30 minutes) -Meet and Match with Program Supervisor |

-Indoors in multi-purpose rooms/community centre spaces with a kitchen, seating and games -Operate mostly unassisted (staff is always available if needed) -Sitting, standing, moving around, in close proximity to others, constantly connecting with the group |
